| Xuman
(Makhtar Fall) and member of Pee Froiss has been making his mark on
the Dakar rap scene since the group's creation in 1993. Born in Ivory Coast, Xuman grew up in the district of Fass in Dakar (Senegal). It was in Fass that he started to write his songs. Khouman, Kocc VI and DJ G. Bass, the rappers who make up Pee Froiss, use pure Hip Hop beats to denounce loudly and clearly the evils that afflict society today. Pee Froiss has played a number of international festivals such as the Rap Festival in Guinea in March 2001, Urban Sound in Berlin in February 2000, Afrique en Création in Lille, Sarcelles Festival in November 2000, the Festival of African Rap in Cotonou (Benin) in 1999, the Festival Logik Hip Hop in Marseille in 98 and 97, the Belgian Festival in 97, Africa Fête in Paris in 96 and Rap à Dakar in 96 and 97. The year 2001 marked the release of their new album and their first international album (released in Europe in 2002). Pee Froiss looks set to take on the world in its quest for international recognition and it already has won the hearts of thousands of loyal fans in Senegal. | ||||||
