In 1997 in Dakar, three Hip
Hop dancers formed the group ALIF (The Feminist Freedom Army). In
1999 they recorded their first album "Viktim".
In 2004 ALIF
recorded Dakanérap in which the trio of rappers (Myriam Diallo
(AURA), Oumy Ndiaye and Ndiaya Guèye) criticise a stigmatising
society and defend women's rights. |
